I first heard about VR at Bats Day (goth day at disneyland). I came on just to check it out. I loved it and have no plans of leaving. So about me.... Ever since I can remember, I have been drawn to the 'darker' side of life. To the night and all things that go with it. I am fascinated by vampires as well. I was used to hiding these things though. I knew people would not see it as "normal", so I pretended to be "normal". When I began going to a private Christian school in seventh grade, I realized I was fooling no one. One girl saw who I really was and we became best friends in eighth grade. She was gothic. She introduced me to her friends, and got me into wearing more gothic clothing. She pretty much introduced me to the whole scene. The moment I put on the dark clothes and started listening to the music, I knew that was me. I knew who I was. Who I am. Needless to say, the school did not like us and we were quickly branded outcasts. Our love for vampires and dark things immediately made them think we were evil. It was crazy. Throughout high school, things started to make sense and I stopped hiding who I was and what I liked. Like I said before, vampires are a fascination with me. Lots of 'dark' things are. It started when I was really young. I loved the night and the creatures in it. Between that and my best friend making me realize there was no reason to hide, I came to accept it more and show it more. I have found that I fit in here on VR, and I like it a lot. I like finding people who understand me. It's refreshing.
Hobbies
I have lots of hobbies. I love to read. Mostly fiction. I love reading stories that involve vampires, werewolves, Fae, and such. Writing is one of my favorite things to do. I love to write poetry. I even journal my thoughts most of the time. You never know when something great will come out of even your most random thoughts. On occassion I have been known to write fictional stories. I aslo love to sing. I am not the greatest singer in the wrold, but I am deffinately not the worst. Dancing is another of my hobbies. I absolutely love to dance. I have been dancing since I was little. I have even taken lessons to help my technique. Yes, I am white, and yes, I have rhythm lol. It can happen, you know. I've taken hip hop, salsa, swing, line dancing, and belly dancing. I loved them all because I love to dance. Though I have found belly dancing to be my favorite. It makes me feel feminine and sexy. Plus it's fun and a great workout. I plan to keep up with the belly dancing from now on. I can dance to anything though. As long as there is a good beat and you can move to it, I'm ready.
A quick word on rating. I rate what I consider to be fairly. I rarely use anything below a 6 or 7 which, I think, is generous compared to how a lot of people rate when you have nothing or little in your profile. If I rate you low, please let me know when you update. I will return for rerates if a profile has been updated. So please don't think that a 7,8, or even 9 will be my final rating. If you update your profile, I will return for a rerate. You just have to let me know so that I can do so. THe better your profile gets, the higher my rating will be.
Music
There is a lot of music I like. I listen to a bit of everything. I know everyone says that, but I'm being serious. If you looked in my cd case you'd find everything from Evanescence to middle eastern music. Learning all those dance forms has turned me on to a lot of different styles of music. Though if I had to name a few bands I really like they would be : Nightwish, Evanescence, Nickleback, Three days Grace, and KORN. (But like I said, those are just a few of my favorites.)

If this part of my profile confuses you, well..it confuses you lol. I am both Scottish and Irish (with German in there somewhere lol.)
Like I said above, I love belly dance. I love dance, period, but belly dancing is just so feminine.
For those who don't know me well or read my journals, I have Lupus. It's an autoimmune disease that can affect pretty much every part of the body. Anyone who has it struggles an everyday battle to not be in pain and not be exhausted. It's a horrible disease with no cure. If you want to know more about it you can ask me or google it.
The CW is sponsoring Vampire Rave this week. They have a new show coming out called, "13: Fear is Real". Parts of Vampire Rave will have a different look and feel this week. Please take a few moments to review the show details. I think they've got something here. Here's a brief show synopsis:
Combining reality and scripted horror, this series features 13 contestants staying in a spooky house and forced to confront their deepest fears. Each week, a different competitor departs by appearing to die in an elaborately staged scenario. The last one standing wins $66,666.
